CANOLFAN BEAUMARIS can be found in the heart of this picturesque seaside town and
within sight of the ancient castle.
It's one of five island leisure centre’s run by Anglesey County Council's
education and leisure department, yet in many ways it is different to all the
others and unique in its own right. The Canolfan gracefully combines Art,
Culture, and Sport. The fully professional Theatre Facilities & the main venue
for the annual Beaumaris Festival and the home base for the infamous Beaumaris
Band. It is also the regular venue for the town’s antique fairs.
The multipurpose exhibition area displays the work of the Islands local artists
and art groups. The venue is a popular choice for functions such as
anniversaries and weddings as well as group workshops. The kitchen is adjacent
to the exhibition area which is convenient for serving buffets or light
refreshments. Sessions such as yoga and palates find the exhibition area very
relaxing and well suited to the mood of the class.
The meeting room is used for smaller groups and doubles as a crèche facility.
A variety of sporting activities are offered in the main hall to suit the very
young to the very old. The centre specialises in children's activities offering
a wide range of courses. The birthday party package is very popular. There is a
varied fitness programme to suit every age from young to senior adults. Bowls
and table tennis are the more gentle activities on offer.
The Canolfan also has a fitness room.
