Beaumaris is an excellent place to be afloat, whether under power or Sail, offering some of
the finest coastal scenery around the British Isles, In a day, you can cruise west to Wicklow,
north to the Isle of Man, or south to Cardigan Bay. Alternatively you can potter for a weekend
around the many fascinating bays and anchorage's of the Anglesey coast.
There are two well established yacht clubs in the Town - The Royal Anglesey Yacht Club,

and which co-ordinates the Menai Straits Regatta, and the North West Venturers Yacht Club,
www.cycc.org.uk/clubs/nwvyc/index.html, which has a full programme of local weekend and
longer cruises between May and September, as well as publishing the very useful Anglesey and
North Wales Coast Pilot, indispensable for anyone navigating in the area.
Boat owner's needs are well served by the facilities at Gallows Point, where ABC Powermarine,
www.abcpm.co.uk have a chandlery, boat sales & storage, slipway and repair facilities. Other
businesses at the point include mooring contractors, boat repairers, trailer builders and

make Beaumaris one of the prime boating centres in the area.
